Norcott 2

Holiday Cottage, Kingsand, Cornwall

Welcome to the Norcott 2 Holiday Cottage Website

Situated in the village of Kingsand, Cornwall (on the Rame peninsular, just ten miles from Plymouth) the property known as Norcott 2 (painted bright pink, on the corner) occupies a stunning location right alongside the sea wall, as you can see in the photograph.

The twin seaside villages of Kingsand and Cawsand remain totally unspoilt by any tourist “dross” and feature narrow lanes lined by attractive properties, right next to the seaward end of Plymouth Sound. The villages are safe environments for children, who delight in the freedom to roam that they may not have at home if they live in a city.

From the village you can walk up to Rame Head via Penlee Point or over to the beautiful Whitsand Bay. In the other direction, Kingsand adjoins Mount Edgcumbe Country Park which includes a stately home, a deer park and formal gardens – all of which were donated to Plymouth City Council by the former owners.

Facilities

The property itself has recently been completely refurbished and includes a living room with Satellite TV and DVD, a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a smaller bedroom with two bunk beds. The property has central heating for the comfort of winter guests. All electricity costs are inclusive in our rates.

Location

Sometimes known as “Cornwall’s Forgotten Corner” the Rame Peninsular has been largely ignored by the holiday makers rushing down the A38 on their way to the beaches. It is a tranquil rural environment surrounded by clean beaches. Whitsand Bay can not be accessed directly by car but the walk down the steep cliff paths will be well rewarded.

With the waves gently lapping up against the sea wall, an almost complete lack of traffic and the fresh sea air coming straight off the Atlantic Ocean (prevailing wind) this is a most relaxing environment which the family owners have enjoyed greatly over recent years and now you can share that pleasure.
