The Lodge is a newly renovated property set in a secluded location with rural views 1 mile from the laid-back village of Millbrook, Cornwall’s largest village nestled right at the heart of the Rame Peninsula and an Area of OutstandingNatural Beauty. Being just a 1 mile drive from the breathtaking Whitsand Bay makes it the ideal location for a beach holiday but with the privacy of being in a secluded location. The property has a no-smoking and no vaping policy.

The Lodge has an allocated parking space for one car and is completely self-contained with its own screened patio area and is a home from home where you can relax and enjoy your holiday, even in the winter months as the house is kept toasty with central heating controlled via a Nest thermostat. Wi-Fi is available throughout and all rooms have sockets with USB ports.
You enter the house through a porch with a washing machine (laundry liquid provided), central heating boiler and built in storage units, one of which contains beach towels and the seating cushions for the patio chairs. There is plenty of room where you can leave your shoes and walking boots.
The living space is open-plan with a large well-equipped kitchen with electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine and plenty of additional cupboard space. Cooking basics are provided to help with a stress-free holiday. Also in the open-plan living space is a table and chairs, two sofas, satellite TV and Bluetooth CD/DAB radio.
There are a few jigsaws, a selection of books and some card games for cosy
evenings in. There is a bedroom downstairs which looks out over the rear of the property and to the fields beyond, the bed can be either a king-size or two singles depending on your requirements, there is a built-in wardrobe with plenty of shelves and pull-out hanging space and two bedside cabinets. This bedroom has a lovely fully tiled en-suite shower room with vanity unit, illuminated mirror and heated towel rail.
Upstairs, in the eaves, there is a beautiful bedroom with a king-size bed, a built-in wardrobe, with pull out hanging space, two bedside cabinets, a chest of drawers and a chair to either relax in or throw your clothes over. This room has a Velux window with a fitted blind and views over the fields. Also upstairs, is a luxurious bathroom with a wonderful round window also looking out to fields. This bathroom has a fabulous oval bath with shower attachment, a large vanity unit with illuminated mirror above and a heated towel rail.
The large screened patio area is laid with slate and runs the full length of the front of the property and partly to the side where bicycles can be safely left. There is a table and chairs to enjoy alfresco dining.
In addition the property has an electric car charging point for those wishing to charge their vehicles.

The pretty village of Millbrook, with its beautiful lake, has everything you could need for a great holiday stay: a pharmacy, two pubs (often with live music), 2 supermarkets, an amazing independent fruit and veg shop (also with a vegetarian / vegan café, The Honey Room), a newsagents, fish and chip shop, a hairdressers, a beauticians and a further café. There are also two play parks for children, tennis courts (free of charge) and a skate park.
The Lodge is only minutes away from stunning the Whitsand Bay coastline with its magnificent clean beaches and a myriad of walking and cycling opportunities. Nearby are the popular tourist fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, boasting many pubs, a bakery/café, take-away snacks/ice-cream shop, souvenir shops, Post Office and various water sports activities for young and old alike.
Plymouth with its large shopping mall, theatre, cinemas, aquarium, sports centre and numerous bars and restaurants is within easy reach, using either the pedestrian ferries: Cremyll (landing at the Royal William Yard) or the Cawsand (leaving from Cawsand beach and landing at The historic Barbican). The Torpoint ferry takes vehicles and is approximately 4 miles from The Lodge with a 7-minute crossing over to Plymouth.
The iconic Mount Edgcumbe House, gardens and woodland is approximately a 15 minute drive and is an amazing place to walk amongst nature and the National Trust property, Antony House, is a 10 minute drive this is an 18th century house with magnificent landscape gardens and wonderful woodland walks. If you fancy venturing further afield then the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Cotehele House and Gardens, Lanhydrock House and Gardens, The Camel Trail (walking and cycling) and Adrenalin Quarry (for thrill seekers) are all within an hour drive from The Lodge.
